Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Welcomes Two New Team Members

The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel, the largest convention hotel between Atlanta and Orlando, welcomed Amanda O’Hara as its new event sales manager and Ryan O’Hara as the new assistant director of food and beverage. Prior to their new positions, Amanda and Ryan served at Hyatt Regency Dallas.

“We are excited to welcome the two newest additions to our growing team, both of whom bring a unique perspective from Dallas to the positions,” said Gino Caliendo, general manager of Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. “Ryan and Amanda bring extensive experience and hospitality management skills in sales, events, and food and beverage. Their expertise will help us continue to provide the high-quality, full-range services for which we are know to all guests.”

Amanda O’HaraAs an event sales manager, Amanda will focus on wedding and local social events. She previously served as the event planning manager and event sales manager at Hyatt Regency Dallas, where she developed strong sales skills, detailed knowledge of food, and the ability to accurately forecast convention business for both clients and the hotel. Amanda graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and worked at Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport from 2011 to 2012.

Ryan will be responsible for overseeing and directing banquets, restaurants, in-room dining, lounges, and stewarding. In addition, he will develop and recommend budgets, marketing plans, implement and maintain food and beverage sales and marketing programs, coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments, and more. During his time with Hyatt Regency Dallas, Ryan served in many roles including executive housekeeper, beverage manager, full service restaurant manager and executive steward. Ryan started his career at Hyatt Regency Crown Center after he graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management in 2009. Ryan is also fluent in Spanish.
