Loews Atlanta Hotel Adds 14,000 Square Feet of Meeting and Event Space with The Overlook

Located in the heart of the bustling Midtown Mile neighborhood, Loews Atlanta Hotel has significantly expanded its 14th floor meeting and event space with the addition of The Overlook, a 14,000 square-foot-space allowing Loews to offer nearly 40,000 square feet of multi-use function space. With the addition of The Overlook, Loews has emerged as the leading Midtown hotel with the largest square footage of function space. When comparing meeting and event space among all Atlanta hotels, Loews Atlanta comes in just behind the six largest convention hotels in Downtown Atlanta.

Designed to provide an idyllic open backdrop with a modern feel and design opportunities of a blank canvas, The Overlook showcases 210-degree views of Atlanta landmarks including the legendary Peachtree Road and Piedmont Park views through floor-to-ceiling windows lining the expansive room. The loft-style space features contemporary décor in a palette of purple, gray and brown. The column-free space provides a central location within walking distance to many of the city’s Fortune 500 companies, leading law firms and world-renowned cultural venues.

The Overlook is divisible in two with a strategically placed air wall, discreet catering kitchen and easily accessible hallways. The beautifully modern room provides an environment with sweeping views ideal for exhibits, classroom-style meetings, cocktail receptions, banquets, avant-garde fundraisers, classic and contemporary weddings and countless other catered social functions. Additionally, the King Meeting Room, a Boardroom-style private meeting space provides state-of-the-art technology and full-length windows revealing a stunning view of Midtown Atlanta.

“The Overlook allows us to offer guests and meeting planners a venue completely distinctive from surrounding hotels in the Midtown community,” said Dale McDaniel, Loews Atlanta Hotel’s managing director. “Prior to The Overlook, those seeking expansive space such as this had only Downtown hotels as a viable option. On behalf of the Loews team, I am delighted to continue our tradition of presenting the utmost in uniquely local and vibrant guest experiences for the meeting and social community alike.”

Significant notes of comparison between Loews Atlanta Hotel meeting space and popular local landmarks include:

  • The hotel’s total meeting and event space now equals the Georgia International Convention Center’s Ballroom which is recognized as the largest ballroom in the state of Georgia

  • Loews Atlanta can host nearly 4,500 guests in all of its function space, which is approximately the amount of guests the Fabulous Fox Theater can seat at one time

  • Loews Atlanta’s meeting space is nearly equal in size to the Gwinnett Center Exhibit Hall, the focal point of the Gwinnett Convention Center

  • The hotel’s total meeting space is now more than eight times larger that the home court of Atlanta NBA Basketball team, The Atlanta Hawks; more than twice the size of popular Atlanta sporting venue, Turner Field’s exclusive 755 Club; and more than twice the size of The Georgia Aquarium’s Ocean’s Ballroom

The distinctive Overlook space joins Loews Atlanta Hotels’ two-year old existing function and meeting rooms:  Ellington Ballroom (11,070 square feet); Mercer Ballroom (5,460 square feet); The Terrace (4,800 square feet); ample pre-function space; two designated meeting planner offices; the distinguished Boardroom; and nine private meeting rooms including the Chastain, Dunwoody, Candler, Inman, Piedmont, Ravinia, Ardmore, Pittman and Centennial. Loews Atlanta Hotel offers the most sought-after venue for hosting impressive functions and memorable occasions.

The expressive interior design and décor of the hotel’s nearly 40,000 square feet of meeting and function space combined with the striking views of the city skyline, position Loews Atlanta as an incomparable meeting destination in the Southeast.
