Expansion at Inn on Fifth

“It's an exciting time,” comments Phil McCade, owner, about Naples, Fla.'s-based Inn on Fifth's $15 million expansion project. The project, which began in late Fall 2011, will add new suites and meeting space for guests as well retail space.

Expanding across the street in a three-story, 40,000-square-foot building, McCabe comments not only is it one of the largest buildings in the area, but also the most attractive architectural-wise.

While the first floor has been designated for retail space, the second and third floors will be the hotel. According to McCabe, there will be 32 Club Level Suites, ranging in sizes from 650-square-feet to nearly 11,000-square-feet. Guests reserving rooms in the section will greeted by the concierge at valet and taken to a Club Level check-in

As for the suites, each will have a private balcony, and guests can enjoy amenities from the Inn. The level will also offer exclusive amenities such as buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and snack, and evening cocktails and appetizers. There will also be a private rooftop hot tub and sunbathing area.

In addition, the Club Level will include an 800-square-foot boardroom, bringing the property's total meeting space to around 9,000-square-feet.

Slated to be completed in November 2012, McCabe says everything is on schedule.

“We are all ready taking firm reservations for Christmas 2012.”

The expansion stands to be the largest redevelopment project on Fifth Avenue South since the start of the 2008 financial crisis. McCabe says now is a very good time for it.

“It couldn't be a better time,” he says. “The conclusion now is the worst over. We at the Inn experienced the highest occupancy ever this November.”
